Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is an South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan have called her factually incorrect and politically biased coverage of the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the most glaring error of my entire decade of watching." She joined Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media organization) in the year 2019. [4] In January 2020, she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service owned by Fox News. In March 2022, she announced that she had been "dumped" by the network. Logan was a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989), followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992, she was hired by Reuters Television Africa, primarily as a senior producers. After four years she branched into freelance journalism, landing assignments as a reporter and editor/producer with ITN and Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN and reported on events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
